Power Window Wiring Diagram: No Movement, One Window Dead, or Master Switch Fault
Use a power window wiring diagram to separate switch, motor, door harness, master switch, BCM, fuse, relay, and ground faults before replacing parts.

One window dead or all windows dead?
If one window is dead, start near that door: local switch, motor, regulator connector, door-jamb harness, and local ground. If all windows are dead, start at the shared fuse, relay, master switch, BCM, or main ground.
The diagram helps avoid replacing a motor when the real fault is a broken feed wire in the door boot or a lockout signal from the master switch.
Know the control design
Some systems reverse polarity directly through switches. Others send a request to a door module or body control module that drives the motor.
A power window wiring diagram shows whether the motor receives direct switch power, module output, express-up logic, or anti-pinch control. Testing changes depending on that design.
Door-jamb harness faults are high probability
Repeated door movement can break wires inside the flexible boot. The window may work intermittently, stop only in certain door positions, or lose switch illumination at the same time.
Use the connector view and wire colors to test continuity through the door harness without guessing which wire feeds the window motor.
Motor testing should be last, not first
A motor can be bench-tested, but that does not prove the vehicle circuit can carry current. Voltage-drop testing at the connector under load is better.
If the motor receives power and ground correctly but does not move, then the motor or regulator is suspect. If power or ground is missing, follow the diagram upstream.
Questions buyers ask
Why does one power window work from the master switch but not the door switch?
The local switch, lockout circuit, switch ground, or signal path may be faulty. The diagram shows how both switches connect to the motor or module.
Can a broken door wire cause intermittent window operation?
Yes. A broken wire in the door-jamb harness can open and close as the door moves, creating intermittent faults.
